Throwback Thursday: An educational pencil case

I remember playing in the loft of my grandparent’s barn and looking through the “treasure chest” that held some of my mother’s childhood toys. One that I still love to play with is an Educator pencil case from the 1960s that matches each U.S. state with its capital.

Google may be at my fingertips, but objects from a simpler time always make me smile. By the way, I’ve been to 25 of the 50 U.S. states, and I hope to enjoy visiting the other 25 (and their capitals) soon!

Happy Trails! 🙂

  1. Hahaha I have a similar memory of my 50 States puzzle. I actually just found one in the “retro” section of a toy store (hey!) and bought it for my partner’s 5 year old. I hope he enjoys it as much as we enjoyed our versions!
