“I used to dream about escaping my ordinary life, but my life was never ordinary. I had simply failed to notice how extraordinary it was.”
―Jacob from Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs
I just completed Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs, and thought I’d share a quote of the protagonist above.
Sometimes life seems exceedingly ordinary, as it may have seemed to the peculiar children stuck in a repeating loop of September 3, 1940, but each day was a bit different, nonetheless. Then, the unexpected happens…. **END SPOILER** 😉
Don’t be discouraged if life isn’t as exciting as you’d like at the moment. Take the time to recharge, plan, and make your imminent future extraordinary.
And, by the way, travel is simply discovering the extraordinary in someone else’s ordinary.
Until next time.
Happy Trails! 💟
