Stop and smell the roses Saturday! A natural helper, lavender hydrosol

Hello, adventurers!

I love lavender fields.

When lavender is picked, it is often hung to dry.

It takes a lot of lavender buds to make just a little bottle of lavender essential oil after the process of distillation.

Lavender hydrosol is a byproduct of the lavender distillation process. Some may refer to it as lavender floral water. I picked some up while visiting Sequim, Washington, and it helps soothe my bug bites and minor abrasions. It’s also safe for housecleaning and as a plant spray.

I found a list of other medicinal and household uses for this handy spray. To me, lavender hydrosol smells like lavender with a hint of hydrogen peroxide.

Have you tried lavender hydrosol? Do you know an additional usage for it? Let me know in the comments!  ☺

Happy Trails!
