This Saturday, I thought I’d share a few photos from a day trip Mom and I took on the backroads of Indiana.
We ate at The Farmhouse Cafe & Tea Room about 8 miles North of Nashville, IN.
Diners can eat inside the 1837 farmhouse or al fresco.
I tried the vegetable quiche and cream of potato soup and washed it down with iced sassafras tea. The complimentary chips and dip appetizer was delicious! The menu offers vegetarian options as well as down-home favorites such as BLTs and chicken salad. Save room for dessert, though!
After lunch, we explored the Flower & Herb barn and its verdant surroundings.
While exploring the grounds, you may bump into one of the friendly felines who have made themselves at home. (And don’t forget to read the witty quote signs). 😉
Oh, and the statues are cool.
And don’t forget the piggies!
You just might bump into somebody famous….
…while looking for old treasures.
I’ve got to hand it to them….
This place reminds me to….
If you’re in the area, here’s a simple map I found on Michael’s Flowers and Antiques that may help you navigate those fun roads in the boonies.
