I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend.
Just thought I’d share a few of my recent lifestyle changes I made to save some money for travel. Nothing that hasn’t been thought of before, but, hey, if it helps a few souls with wanderlust in their hearts, I’m happy. By the way, I’m not getting paid for this post. Just sharing my opinion. 🙂
1. I switched from cable to Netflix. I live in a small town, so entertainment is limited. Thus, instead of going completely cold turkey I decided to try out a basic Netflix subscription ($7.99 month). Netflix lets you have a free month trial as well. Lately, I’ve been getting nostalgic watching old Goosebumps episodes. I love the fact that there are tons of documentaries available, too.
2. I save gas by ordering through Amazon Prime. Again, small town girl problems, but when you’re at least 25 miles from the nearest Walmart and even further from Target, clipping Amazon coupons and taking advantage of their Prime Pantry has saved my financial butt.
Also, don’t forget to use all the Prime services including free music streaming, a (somewhat limited) library of free Kindle books, photo storage, and, of course, free two-day shipping on many items.. If you’re interested in joining Prime, click here to join for $99 per year. If you join via this link you’ll help a starving artist earn five dollars when you make your first $5 purchase on Prime. Thanks a million! 🙂
Well, those are my three tips of the day.
Happy trails (and happy saving)!
