Well, the dog days of summer have arrived, and, I’m ashamed to say that I’m already craving pumpkin spice…and even listening to some Christmas music. I know. I know.
But anyway, back to summertime. The plants in the garden are thirstier than ever, but one thing is different. This is the first year we have used a rain barrel.
Who says that aesthetics need to a take a back seat when shopping for a functional item for home and garden? A rain barrel in the style of an urn is a great way to reserve soft, rain water for your thirsty plants while adding interest to your special outdoor space. You can even create a “little world” on top. 🙂
What is your favorite plant? Let me know in the comments! Thanks so much for reading. 🙂
